Latvia agrees on Netcon 3000 SCADA system

Netcontrol have signed a contract with Latvian distribution company Sadales Tikls to extend their current Netcon 3000 SCADA system. The core aim of the project is to expand coverage to manage the entire Latvian distribution network using Netcon 3000. Divided into several phases, the first delivery phase of the development will be done during 2013-2014, with the SCADA renewal planned to be completed by the end of 2016. With the award of the project from Sadales Tikls, it is the largest SCADA system implementation Netcontrol has ever undertaken to date.

Phase one of the SCADA extension project will involve Netcontrol delivering two fully redundant data centres and begin the commissioning and testing of the main system. During the several phases of the project, Netcontrol and Sadales Tikls will have a close working relationship with Netcontrol providing training and technical support for Sadales Tikls personnel.
