Netcontrol services – Designed to meet our customer’s needs

In response to our customers’ growing needs, Netcontrol has developed a suite of managed services designed to streamline operations and enhance security. Co-created in partnership with our customers, VALVOT, ONE, and DOME offer comprehensive solutions for SCADA, RTU asset management and OT network cybersecurity. As the energy sector continues to evolve, so do our services, reflecting our commitment to customer collaboration and innovation.

Netcontrol’s managed services today

During the past few years, Netcontrol has been introducing a completely new suite of services for our customers. These new managed service concepts are:

  • VALVOT – Full SCADA service
  • ONE – RTU asset management service, and
  • DOME – OT network cybersecurity service.

Our customers’ evolving needs have been the driving force behind the development of all our new services. Anticipating a growing demand for comprehensive service solutions, we have proactively engaged with our customers for multiple years in order to develop these new offerings.

Designed in collaboration with our customers

The energy sector has undergone significant changes in recent years, both in the business environment and technology. Our customers have outsourced many of their operations, creating a demand for new types of services. At the same time, the increasing requirements for, for example, system cybersecurity and better asset management have shifted our customers’ needs in the same direction. There is a growing demand for larger and more comprehensive services. With these starting points, we began developing our new service concepts in the early 2020s.

Our first new service concept, VALVOT, is an all-inclusive service for the Netcon 3000 SCADA system. Developed in collaboration with one of our key customers, Elenia, VALVOT was launched in June 2022. It now serves customers in three different countries, with new systems being added nearly every month.

With VALVOT, our customers can enjoy a reliable and secure SCADA system that is always up to date. By continuously monitoring their system, we can detect and resolve issues even before they impact operations. The Netcon 3000, connected to the VALVOT service center, automatically alerts our on-call staff, ensuring a rapid response to any problems. Naturally, we can guarantee a very high SLA for our service.

We have applied a similar development process also to our ONE and DOME services. ONE was designed to help our customers manage their substation devices more efficiently through remote access. With ONE, they can e.g. perform centralized firmware and security updates. DOME provides customers with a comprehensive overview of their OT network security and enables them to respond quickly to any incidents, with the service provided by Netcontrol.

Our goal with all our service development has always been to simplify our customers’ daily work and improve their operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. By working together with our customers, we secure critical infrastructure. Therefore, security and reliability have been the cornerstones of our service design from the start; hence our brand promise “Securing your control”.

With VALVOT, ONE, and DOME, our customers can focus on their core business while we take care of the rest. We ensure that their SCADA systems and devices operate smoothly 24/7, contributing to a reliable and safe energy distribution.

Our service center operates 24/7 and is ready to respond quickly to customer issues or security incidents. Our top priority is to serve our customers as quickly and comprehensively as possible. That’s why all our service centre employees are experienced energy automation professionals who can handle even the most demanding tasks, regardless of the time of day. We are always ready to help you.

A glimpse into the future

Our customer-centric approach means that our services are also constantly evolving. We work closely with our customers to develop solutions that meet their specific needs. In the future, we expect to see an increasing demand for complete energy automation solutions, and we are committed to staying ahead of the curve.

As an example, our recent acquisition of Voltyx, an engineering company in Sweden, has expanded our capabilities in complete substation automation project design. This, combined with our ongoing development efforts, ensures that we can provide our customers with the most extensive and innovative solutions available.
