Netcontrol publishes sustainability report for 2024

Netcontrol is a company focused on solutions and managed services for the automation and cybersecurity of energy networks. With the acquisition of Voltyx AB in June 2024, we now provide engineering services for electricity networks as well. Our customers include the owners and operators of electricity distribution networks, power plants and other energy production facilities, energy-intensive industrial plants and rail network systems.

Netcontrol’s sustainability efforts concentrate on three main aspects: (1) the resilience of the electricity distribution system, (2) the environment and (3) social responsibility and governance. Our sustainability highlights from 2024 include the following:

• The reliability / system uptime of our VALVOT full SCADA service was 100 %, demonstrating Netcontrol’s excellence in network automation.
• Staff participation in cybersecurity training has recovered. We have also recently introduced supplemental cybersecurity microtraining to keep our personnel alert.
• At the start of 2024, our Helsinki headquarters moved into new, modern premises. Since Helsinki is our largest office, the reduction in floor space and more up to date technology entails savings in the energy used for heating, air conditioning and lighting.
• Personnel satisfaction at Netcontrol, especially the eNPS measure, shows a notable improvement: from -2 in 2023 to +43 in 2024.
